I think it was during one of my obsessive stages (as though that's left to the past ;-) )Almost Mrs Averagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03566374419318255177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-26321208502140175702008-03-20T12:04:00.000+00:002008-03-20T12:04:00.000+00:00I bought one yesterday, got it home and then reali...I bought one yesterday, got it home and then realised it came in a whacking great stiff plastic package - how environmentally friendly is that?? Still if I don't need more than one or two I won't have to do that more often, but I might drop them a line if I have the time. I was tempted to post the packaging back to them.Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03742282701625568386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-61706082612721100772008-03-20T06:18:00.000+00:002008-03-20T06:18:00.000+00:00Hi Karin - the ecloth is great. A really hot wash should to the trick with it. I got my ecloth sponge in a pack from Waitrose.Almost Mrs Averagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03566374419318255177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-81034513304462457202008-03-18T12:04:00.000+00:002008-03-18T12:04:00.000+00:00I didn't know E-cloths made sponges. I hadn't thought to boil my sponges but my problem with them is that the scouring material disintegrates quite quickly and can also get rather badly gunged up, particularly by bread dough, but also other things that stick to it and won't wash off.

If the E-cloth sponges are more hard wearing they will be a definite improvement for washing up, but I'm not sure what I'll use for really dirty cleaning jobs when all my old sponges are gone as sometimes all you want to do is throw the cleaning cloth away.

I wouldn't wash something in the washing machine if I'd used it to clean the loo or worse - although now we no longer have a cat there might not be anything worse.Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03742282701625568386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-20155740659295625692008-02-15T08:38:00.000+00:002008-02-15T08:38:00.000+00:00Hi Karen - welcome to the stripey cleaning gang......Hi Karen - welcome to the stripey cleaning gang...looks like that design has been extremely popular. I left behind a fitted dishwasher when I moved and decided to be green and wash dishes by hand. We have solar water heating panels for the summer and in winter we have hot water from the Rayburn. Therefore my brush is my little indulgence (although my stripes have fallen off!)Heather @ Wiggly Wigglershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12032015832576612127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-59601646951117953992008-02-13T19:31:00.000+00:002008-02-13T19:31:00.000+00:00Hi N.&J. - that's a great top ti. That's another thing saved from the bin.

Hi Picklesmum - yes I love that range. I think there is no problem putting your washing brush into the dishwasher. It will get rid of all the germs and will help it last longer I am sure.Almost Mrs Averagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03566374419318255177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-51509479174664182912008-02-13T10:47:00.000+00:002008-02-13T10:47:00.000+00:00Cool brush, I have the equivalent dish washing bru...Cool brush, I have the equivalent dish washing brush. I'm guessing you could do the same with your new sponge too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-34682995795133035482008-02-12T21:49:00.000+00:002008-02-12T21:49:00.000+00:00Hi Cybele - I can only admire your comittment and ...Hi Cybele - I can only admire your comittment and tenacity. ;-DAlmost Mrs Averagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03566374419318255177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1140894823591123770.post-80966850455569877132008-02-12T13:51:00.000+00:002008-02-12T13:51:00.000+00:00Don't laugh but I have been known to knit my dishc...Don't laugh but I have been known to knit my dishcloths...Cybèlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15470546757550328725noreply@blogger.com
